Was I wrong to push my older sister in self defense?!

Question: Was I wrong to push my older sister in self defense?
I'm 15 and my sister is 18. First, She started eating MY chips so I told her to put her down. She said "F you" so I grabbed the chips away from her. She then spat the chips on me (that she was chewing). So then I called her a stupid xCUNTx. After that, she started hitting me about 3-4 times. So I grabbed her wrist really tightly and shoved her away. She put her hands around my neck, started choking me, and then punched me about 3 times on the top of my head. Then she took her hands and squeezed my cheeks really tight and scratched me (she has long fingernails, so my face started bleeding). I didn't do anything after that, because i know men aren't supposed to hit a woman back, so i just took the pain and waited until she walked away. Was I wrong?

We had an abusive dad so my mom and sisters are 100% against me fighting back against a girl no matter what the situation is.

Answers:

Your sister attacked you. You stopped her by grabbing her wrist and shoved her away. What you did was try to protect yourself. Your sister being 18 should not have been abusive towards you.

If the police would have seen this she would have been arrested. You were not wrong in anyway.

Just because you had an abusive father does not mean that you will turn out to be abusive.

Your sister is abusive and you could call child protective services.....
