Question: What happens if you call a suicide hotline or 911 and ask them what rope to use to hang yourself ?

I was just wondering what happens if you call a hotline or 911 and ask them what rope to use to hang yourself, or how to make a noose.. What would they do

I honestly did that once. I got bored once so I thought it would be a good idea to prank call a suicidal hotline. I called the Nationail Suicide Hotline and said, "You offer help for people who are suicidal right?" The guy said "Yes". I said "Well I need some help. I'm trying to hang myself but I can't figure how to tie a noose. Can you walk me through it." The guy was like "Are you serious or is this a prank call?" I was like "I'm serious." Then he was like "You've indicated to me that you intend to hurt yourself, I am required by law to report this to the police." Then I got scared and hung up. They never traced it to me because I was smart enough to use a payphone.

A Suicide Hotline would try to talk you out of it.
911 would trace your call and you'd be arrested for 'wasting their time'.

AS A LONG TERM BIPOLAR SUFFERER I WOULD CHOOSE A ROPE THAT MATCHED MY T SHIRT I HATE IT WHEN THE COLORS CLASH WHEN IM BEING ARRESTED?????????

they would probably track where you are and send people to force you to get help, which it seems like you badly need

they would probably try to talk you out of it
