Best way to tell potential employer about my psychosocial rehabilitation?!

Question: Best way to tell potential employer about my psychosocial rehabilitation?
Interview tomorrow. I originally put I could work any hours but today I had an intake appointment and my illness has gotten a lot worse and possibly changed, and so they have me on the highest support program there which includes lots of psych rehab. I know she'll ask me why i can't work these certain times but am nervous about telling her the reason. The place I go to is a state run mental health facility. I don't want to just say I have rehab cuz she'll probably think I did drugs or something, but am nervous about stating its for mental health reasons.

Answers:

To tell you the truth, if you tell them, you probably won't get hired. It may be illegal, but just like with age discrimination, there's no way to prove that was the reason they didn't hire you. They could simply say you didn't get hired because you were unable to work the hours they needed you to work. I would just tell them your situation had changed, and there are certain hours you will be unable to work. And let it go at that.

well if it wasn't for drugs or anything really stupid then it wouldn't be bad to just say why if it isn't your fault then there really is no reason to be afraid. i know somethings are better gone unsaid but i'm sure if you say that it is for medical reasons then i'm sure she will understand. just try to work something out

p.s. i wouldn't recommend lieing because if they find out then that could turn out bad for your career

they cant not hire you for it, that would be illegal and give you probable cause to sue the pants off them.. but i wouldnt tell them, i would make up a different excuse.

dont tell them, its none of their business
