Diagnosed as Schizoaffective. How can I stay well?!

Question: Diagnosed as Schizoaffective. How can I stay well?
Just come out of my third hospital stay. I was sectioned.
Looking at my history and this relapse I have been diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder.
My symptoms, as my diagnosis suggests, are schizophrenic mixed with bipolar.
I have been stabilised now and am now just taking it slow for a bit until I can feel comfortable going back to uni (I am 20)
How can I stay well now?
I am on medication to keep me stable but is there anything else I can be doing?
Any books I should read?
Also any personal stories would be great.
Thanks.

Answers:

Find out if there are any local groups for mental health service users. They can provide a suuportive and caring environment in which you can talk to others who understand what it's like to be starting out on the road to recovery. Other than that, I would suggest finding out everything you can about your illness, and make sure you take your medication, keep all appointments, and talk to your care coordinator about any worries you might have (it's what they're there for).

Keep things as simple as possible it will help keep stable!
