How can I become my old self again, PLEASE try to help me.?!

Question: How can I become my old self again, PLEASE try to help me.?
PLEASE READ!
I used to be so sure of myself, my every move, every word, I was amazing and I knew it, I had the best personality and everyone loved me, I knew exactly how to interact with every different kind of person, what people liked, what I liked, and I knew exactly who I was. I had everything together, then I went through a terrible drug addiction and I have now been off of meth for 9 months, I now feel that I have no self confidence, and like I don't know anything anymore, I can't interact with people right, I get so nervous when I talk to someone that I sound stupid or say the wrong thing. My mind is ALWAYS so foggy, I don't know what to do, I've felt like a different person for about a year now and I keep hoping that I will snap back into my old amazing self but it hasn't happened and I don't know what to do, I just want things to be how they were and to feel as I did but I don't know how to do this.
Most people go through this feeling throughout high school, the feeling of being insecure and lost, but in high school I knew who I was and I loved myself, so it's the opposite for me now, it's not supposed to be like this..

By the way I'm twenty, so this is not a phase that I will grow out of throughout high school, it's me now...
I need advice and I DO not want to get on depression medicine, I never want to touch any kind of drug again... Thank you.

You are in an AWESOME place right now! You know where you are and what you do and do not need. You finally realize that you are not perfect! You are not invincible! You need God, good friends, good habits. Realizing that you cannot do everything on your own is a great first step. You have learned humility. Some people never get that. As you stop depending on yourself and start seeing other people as just as awesome and just as flawed as you are, you can truly become a compassionate and productive member of society. Repeat after me: I may not always say the perfect thing or look the perfect way. I will make mistakes. But I have been given a new opportunity in life to use my talent, experience, and intuition for the good of everyone.

Diet, exercise, and good sleep habits should help your foggy focus problems. There are also lots of brain-exercising games on the web, like lumosity.com, to help sharpen your noodle!

Don't wish for your old self. Embrace the you that you are. I see a bright future for you that includes persistence, mistakes, humility, love, and lots and lots of success!

You are depressed and the only way your gonna feel better is with medication and group therapy. i was also depressed and the i hated that i was addicted to the meds but they helped a lot, and therapy too.

Just think it will all be alright. because it will, u r blessed to have ur life, be happy with it and ur friends and family. Be strong, there is no reason for u to be down

remember who you are

Yea just wait! Do the things u used to do and it will work out

Are you in narcotics Anonymous? You were addicted to drugs and need support to stay off of them.
You may not need antidepressants at all.
Antidepressants are for people with clinical depression--which comes from a chemical imbalance in the brain chemistry. The body is lacking enough of a particular chemical, and the antidepressant supplements what is lacking. It is not a 'street drug' (narcotic, etc) and people do not become addicted to antidepressants.
but, as I said, you may not need anything for depression at all, medication-wise.

Bravo for staying away from all drugs! Self-confidence and assurance will come with time. I had a good friend addicted to meth and unfortunately it does a lot of horrible things to your brain.
Just remember that the brain is re-trainable, all you need to do is change the way you talk to yourself, and overtime your practice will end up being believed through and through.
