Please help!! No matter what I do, I can't stop irrational thinking!!?!

Question: Please help!! No matter what I do, I can't stop irrational thinking!!?
Like today at a rehire orientation:

Yea, orientation at zoo went well today. But my boss went into the other room (where other staff workers outside our department were in there) to copy our social security cards. I didn't see what was going on. I wasn't there in the other room--- they make a misprint at first, they throw it away and I never know if someone taking out the trash will find the copy or it will fall out of the trashcan or something and steal my identity---idk WTF I'm going to do if my identity is stolen--I guess I'll kill myself if it happens. How likely is trash can identity theft to happen???

It's other things I'm paranoid about too, like dying in a wreck, ppl around me dying, getting fired, getting in jail and trouble cause of a mistake, infections, thing getting lost in the mail, not getting my refund money, other ppl's mistakes that "ruin my life", infecting others at my tattoo shop. I secretly voice record to make sure I don't say the "wrong" thing to other ppl. Its gotten 2 a point where I can't function sometimes and I'm constantly calling the crisis line n the middle of the nite.

I have counseling and taking medication; but that's not working.
*sigh* I'm beginning to think I have an underlying physical problem I never got diagnosed with instead--going 2 doctor when I can afford it.
Idk what else to do? Any help?

I would see your doctor about adjusting your dosage or switching medications if therapy isn't enough.

Firstly I am no medical expert but I believe my opinion still might help.

You must express this to the person you are seeing. Try not to withhold details from them and tell them your doubts about the medication too. They need to be informed so they can help you.
Also the fact you are aware you are doing this is a good start. You need to try to train yourself to worry less.

It will take some time (perhaps years) but bit by bit you will get better. Each time you notice yourself freaking out and realize you being a little over the top try to take your mind off the issue, sit down and breath or do anything you know to help calm yourself while reminding yourself you are being silly. I don’t know you and how you think well enough to suggest what will work, you have to figure it out yourself just try different things to help you stop freaking out and see if you can find something effective.
