How can i get help for my depression?...?!

Question: How can i get help for my depression?...?
Most of the things i am experiencing are signs of depression. I have felt this way for a few months. My boyfriend suffers from depression and takes medication for it. One day i was feeling really down and since i don't have a dad i went to talk to my mom and i said "Mom i think i suffer from depression..." My mom said "Ugh your just saying that because your boy friend has depression!"I told my sister how i was feeling as well an she said the same thing as my mom. Another time i tried to tell my mom and she said "Its nothing!" And the last time i told my mom she said "I cant deal with this right now!Leave me alone." Every time i try and tell my mom...she says one of those things...I cant talk to my school counselor because i cant leave any of my class's during any time of the day without getting detention or getting written up. The only way i will get sent to th counselor is if i start crying..Or get in a fight.
What should i do?

Maria, talk to your mothers sister or brother and tell them that you are depressed. They will tell your mom what you said and maybe that will WAKE her up. If no help there, walk right to the office at school right when you get in and sit there and talk to someone. They won't write you up; They will get you to the counselors office.

Go to the doctor and tell them. They will diagnose you and give you medication for it, there is nothing wrong with being depressed, I would rather go get treated for it, than suffer with it. School Counselors don't always work, they might even get in contact with your mom and let the, know whats going on with you.

Anyways good luck.

How about try Moodgym, free computerized cognitive behavioral therapy by Australia Nat'l University. It's kinda fun and kinda dorky, and I liked it. They have short tests to detect 'warpy thinking." cognitive behavioral therapy can fix depression for many, whereas pills only ever plaster over it. Anyone with depression should really try counseling first - no risks, no side effects.

If you are feeling depressed. You got to get help. So yes, please cry and get sent to the counselors office. It works. Get the attention you need because depression could get worst. To be honest, being depressed comes with being a teenager.

First thing I'm going to tell you it's extremely likely that you are suffering from depression because people with depression often end up spending time with other people who are also suffering with it. Another point to make is depression is really common. If you want to get help can you go to the school counsellor at lunch? morning? after school? If not let your self cry some time when you feel it coming on during school instead of holding in. Honestly tell your teachers you are having some personal issues and it needs to be dealt with. Depression I know first hand is not easy to deal with and the sooner you get help the better it can be treated. Do whatever it takes to get help. Don't let people shove you off no one has the right to say you are fine when you aren't.
