Im thinking of quitting college for awhile?!

Question: Im thinking of quitting college for awhile?
I'm going through some depression due to personal experiences, and the school work load is hefty. My grades are like an C, but I'm capable of A's. I hate going everyday. I live in a bad area and without work, so money is an issue too. I'm not enthusiastic about going to class like I once was in the beginning. I'm thinking if I don't withdraw, my GPA will be very low when semester ends. Thoughts or advice.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. But to stop now would be to give up on yourself. I cannot stress strongly enough how important it is for you to do your best, and finish this semester. My friend had clinical depression.. so he decided to take a vacation term and relax at home. He got a job and returned the next semester with some cash and was happy throughout the rest of college. If you could find a job (rather than wasting away doing nothing at home) it could be very beneficial for you.

only you know what is right for you. you know whether what you are aspiring to succeed in is something you actually desire to do. it is like the old saying goes, when you find what you love to do, you'll never work again.

first know self, then desire will be known and thus happiness. you can not fail as long as you are happy.

you should probably try to at least finish the semester, or the instructor might give you a failing grade for the course
