I feel really depressed, what should I do?!

Question: I feel really depressed, what should I do?
For the last few months, I have been feeling a bit down, and throughout that time, there have been several causes. Originally, I felt depressed because I felt hopeless about the girl I like (I still like her). More recently however, I have been depressed due to extensive stress and bullying. At the moment, I feel extremely lonely and hopeless and just sad most of the time. What should I do to feel better, I can barely stand all of this.

There could be more to your depression besides the emotional stress you are going through.
Sometimes there are physical problems that make it worse. You should talk to your parents or school counselor, or some other trusted adult. Make sure you are completely honest and ask them to make an appointment with your doctor to get checked out. You could have seasonal depression, it is very common in the winter, or you could have a hormonal or chemical imbalance. Be patient while they help you, it may take a while to find the right combination of things. You will probably be referred to a therapist or psychiatrist. Do not feel negatively about this, every one needs help from time to time. If you do not like the first counselor, or feel you are not a good fit, ask to see a different one. You may just need someone to talk to to help work things out while some medications take time to work on you. Try to find new interests and new activities that will afford you to meet new people. And make sure the bullying is dealt with. This person needs to be stopped. You could be a hero and stop him/her from hurting someone else. See the school counselor or principal. And do not take no for an answer!
Also, as far as the girl, do not waste all you have to offer on someone that does not appreciate all your great qualities. If you ended up with her, it would not last because she will not give you the respect you deserve. Wait for the girl who lights up when you walk in a room. She will be worth the wait.

Life experience, education, and four teenagers.

Do something new, like start playing an instrument, learn a language, or pick up a new hobby (swimming, hiking/biking, making music playlists).

Games work but get old fast. You've got to do something that makes you feel good about yourself. If you cant think of anything then now the time to figure it out. Im 20, and had to deal with bad depression over the past few years. Counseling and distractions wont get you anywhere, you've got to find stuff you love about yourself, build self-confidence.

well, i don't know how old you are, but sometimes it's just age. like teenagers go through that stage where everything sucks and everybody's out to get them and nothing ever goes right, adults have an issue where they overexaggerate everything and blow everything out of proportion. like i said i'm not sure about you, but i'd just try to wait it out and hope for the best.

If you're not yet comfortable talking to people about it, try writing down what you feel in a notebook or diary. Indulge yourself in things that make you happy. Maybe icecream or fast food? Whatever gets your mind off your problems :) Don't consider harming yourself. Goodluck, xx

I've been through depression

Yes you need to face the facts and tell this girl about it. If she says there's nothing, then you could atleast move on. You can try yoga or good music to help get distracted. Why won't you talk to your friends about it? Or your parents? People put you in stress, people get you out of it.

i think you felt hopeless about your girl is because you're not doing anything to win her?! dude make your move and be sure its your best shot. if its not enough, learn to ACCEPT DEFEAT! acceptance dude..

if your being bullied and stressed out.. fight! are you gay?! drink.. dance.. shout.. pray.. things like this can release some stress from you..

chat with your friends and dont be so emo.. thats why your so depressed!
