Question: I need help! My Dad is having a crisis and I dont know why or what caused this?
Answers:
Oh my gosh, I'm sorry this has been happening to you. :( Try talking to him, calmly. Don't blame anyone for anything, and don't make any accusations. Try to figure out what's really on his mind. Give him some time to cool off before you talk.
Good luck!
Sounds like your dad is suffering from a temporary psychotic illness or possibly a nervous breakdown. Please get your mum and try and call a doctor for your own protection as well as his own. Thanks otherwise the situation may worsen.

Talk to your mom about getting some psychiatric help for your dad, it sounds as if he is having a breakdown, and if this is the case then you cannot handle it on your own. Get help, and stay out the way. Your safety is paramount.
If he drinks or does drugs than his actions today could be caused by those.
But if he does not drink or do drugs then he is probably having a "psychotic episode" which can be part of a Mental Illness. These are dangerous.
Because he is confused and angry he might accidently hurt himself or someone else (like fall down the stairs or try to drive the car and crash)
Right now you can call a helpline/hotline- look online for helplines in your city maybe there is one for teens or one for drugs or one for mental illness or go to a church or community center. It is free and they might be able to tell you what to do.
Or you can call the Police 911. Because he is being violent and talking to himself they might take him to a hospital and calm him down with medication. This way he can get the help he needs and you and your mom will not get hurt.
Also you might want to leave the house right now for your own safety. Write down the phone # for a helpline and go to a pay phone and call for advice or go to a friends house.
There are lots of adults out there who can help. Don't do this on your own. Go find an adult to help you right now.
