SO SCARED, PLEASE READ!?!

Question: SO SCARED, PLEASE READ!?
Im a 16 year old girl and i have an anxiety disorder and i have been having like random dizziness at least once a day, almost everyday for a couple of months now and everytime it happens it scares me and i feel lightheaded sometimes too.I went to the doc for it and she did some tests and it just ended up being anxiety, idk, im sooo scared. Is this anixety? This happens even when i dont have anxiety attacks and also i do worry and think about my health and pains and am aware of my body almost 24/7 and its nearly all i think about these days. Im just scared; Thanks for the answers and God bless you all.

I've heard others talk about dizziness/lightheadedness as a symptom of anxiety, so it probably is. One guy I read a post from was having it happen when he played tennis and had anxiety attacks. Your body is under so much pressure that it acts out in various physical ways. You should see a therapist to help teach you some coping methods to stop the attacks and also figure out why you started having them in the first place. They can be managed. I had them, and I've pretty much recovered with therapy =). Good luck honey. <3

Go to the doctors Again, see if your blood pressure is low. it might not be low all the time but if it gets low at times you can get dizzy spells. it happens to a lot of people, I am one of them. If you don't have any luck with your doc, Then thy another one. Don't be scared you'll be ok. good luck.

Sometimes a sinus infection or ear problems can make you dizzy...you might want to see an ear nose and throat dr. if you seem to have symptoms of either of those problems...

What you are describing is classic for an anxiety disorder called agoraphobia, which is basically, fear of fear. You are anxious that you will get these symptoms, which are anxiety themselves, so it's self-fulfilling. People sometimes get so concerned about this they stop living in the world and become confined to home, afraid to go out for fear the symptoms will happen.

Your doctor has examined you and done tests. She's assured you the problem is just anxiety. You won't die, I promise, so just ride them out. When it happens, remind yourself that you are fine, nothing bad is happening, even though it feels as if it is. Get out. DO things. Be as active as possible, because when you're busy you don't have time to worry at your health. Do it even if it feels bad. If you can't, look up the community mental health center in your community or ask a trusted teacher or school counselor to do it for you and make an appointment. Get some counseling and treatment so you can stop feeling this way.

Deal with this right away, because it's a lot easier to do at sixteen when you've only had this problem a few years than it will be when you've had it 40 years and you're not able to leave home.

Be brave.

I know you're scared. Brave isn't about not being scared. It's about being scared and doing it anyway. You can do this, I promise.

hey PJ? you may want to look up the definition of Agoraphobia
you are way off.

and yes i am pretty sure that is anxiety, i have a panic disorder so i deal with those same issues a lot.
after a bit you realize that its just your mind overworking and you know youll be fine. you also say you are aware of your body and feel pains? you watch your health all the time? like me you're also a hypochondriac, always thinking somethings wrong which makes you freak out sometimes right?

everything will be fine, just understand its all temporary and you'll be back to normal in no time.
the doc will give you self help tips, and treatment options. communication sessions, medication, physical exercises... they are all helpful. ive been fine for quite awhile now :)
