Until your friends attend a college and graduate with a master's degree or higher in one of the mental health fields, their opinion is zip.
Nah, just kidding. It's good to take feedback from others. Allow them to describe what they see, and feel free to ask questions for clarification. I once had friends do a semi-intervention with me, and it warmed my heart that they cared, but they were overly concerned, and everything turned out fine without me making any major changes.
The cutting is something that ought to change. Even if you do it with a razor, and make extra thin cuts that just barely bleed (to help you focus on physical instead of emotional pain?), and it won't leave a scar, there is still danger there. You may accidentally slip, and make a deep cut. If that don't kill you, it will get you psychiatrically evaluated or hospitalized. If you are scarring yourself up, later in life (or even now?) you'll have to wear clothing that hides what you do. Summer will be here soon enough!
Make an appointment at the local community mental health center in your area and find out whether you have a mood disorder. The people at school are not mental health professionals, so get a mental health professional to determine what, if any, disorders you might have and what treatment might be appropriate.
And quit worrying, it'll be fine.
thats what people think and some people does not notice it. also, how you react to your friends
