SHOULD I TAKE SLEEPING PILLS?!

Question: SHOULD I TAKE SLEEPING PILLS?
Every year for the Gr.8 graduation field trip we go to camp queen Elizabeth. It's coming up and I am super scared! I don't like sleep overs because I miss my mom to much when I go and I make myself sick just thinking about it. I was wondering if I take sleeping pills will it be okay? I only miss her at night so I figured this would probably be the best thing. Please give your advice?

It's probably best that you not take them. I assume they're not prescribed to you and you would be taking someone else's, which is illegal. If the school found out, say you weren't able to easily awaken or someone told them, you would be facing discipline from them. The pills just aren't a good idea, and certainly aren't an answer. Get through it, and feel better about yourself.

Have you discussed this with your mom? Try talking with her first. Taking sleeping pills is serious even if it is just for a short while.Have you taken sleeping pills before this for the same problem and how did it work out? I'm sorry to be asking so many questions instead of helping. I am just concerned. Take care and I hope you can come up with a safe answer.

Hi,
My advise is please don't take them! This is so distressing for you, why do you have to go? If you really can't get out of going then think about a relaxation plan before you go to bed. It could be something like meditation, yoga, milky drinks or all of them..Maybe it will be hard to do them on camp I don't know, but it will be better than taking sleeping pills. Do you take a small picture of your Mum to look at at bedtime?

Hope this helps.

You could, that might be the solution, if you have a persciption for a benzo that might help you too, not with a sleeping pill of course. Benzo's like Xanax can help with sleep and anxiety, so it could really help you out on this trip.
