Has he lost his emotions?!

Question: Has he lost his emotions?
My friend is currently 14 years old like me. I befriended him in 6th Grade where he was quite nerdy and so was i we told secrets to each other. Soon a year later we didn't have the same class anymore and we grew apart. the year after we had the same class and he started to move away from me he started having different friends and fooling around in class. When i see him laughing in class he seems to be faking it. Now we are in High School and he doesn't talk to me anymore shutting me off completely even if i try to talk to him he walks away. I was quite bossy in 8th grade but i think deserve a proper explanation before dissing me. What i do know about him is that he lost his brother before he was born. He is diabetic TYPE 1. I thought maybe he suffered someone emotional damage in the summer. that he completely changed he even turned popular though i am popular too though but not as much.
CAN YOU EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPENED I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO HIM?
If you answered this question you unlocked my biggest unlock-able box in my soul right now because he was one of my best friends ever.

Answers:

I think saying he is now mentally challenged is a bit extreme.

However, people grow apart and he might have just had a change in heart. You knew the 11 year old him, he's now 14 and people change. Maybe things are going on in his life and he's angry, upset, sad, depressed.

Those are emotions, too, so no, he hasn't lost his emotions. Some people just need time.

Best wishes.

Abdul, I would most sincerely apologize to him for being bossy, and NEVER do it again. Bossiness can be very offensive to some people - it suggests that you think you are superior to them in some fashion. If you really want this guy back as your friend, write him an apologetic letter. Then see what happens.

he could have lost his emotions due to mental illness such as schizophrenia orr any number of other mental illnesses. i really don't have enough information to state anything further.

you should go to doctors immediately.
