Question: Do you think I Am crazy?

So when I am at home alone downstairs on the computer I hear footsteps upstairs. It freaks me out but I try to ignore it. Then one day my brother and I were home alone and we were rearranging the furniture in my room.We had the music on very loud and I have heard the song many times so I know what is on the song and what isn't. I heard footsteps again. All the doors were locked. We went upstairs and no one was there. Another time I was doing the laundry and they door across the hall shuts and my brother was on the couch behind me. I went to look back there and no one was there. I also hate silences because I hear everything so it drives me nuts.Honestly I think im going insane. Do you think Im crazy? Also even though this is off topic I think my cat is afraid of the dark because he won't go downstairs unless we go down there. Is that normal?

I rather doubt it's a ghost, although when I was a kid I thought I shared my room with one.

I agree with the last poster though. Even if it is a ghost, I've always been of the opinion that the living are far more dangerous than the dead.

I'm surprised nobody asked you this yet: Has your brother ever had these observations? I guess it's possible for a cat to be afraid of the dark. I saw a video of one on YouTube recently who would jump up and try to pull his masters hand away whenever he tried to turn off the light. The footsteps could be crows on the roof, etc. And doors closing could happen with very slight air pressure differential between rooms due to imperfectly sealed windows, etc.

On the other hand, if you think you and the cat have mental issues, you are fortunate to recognize it. Most who have mental issues think they are completely normal. This way, you can seek professional help.

oka, im not sure how old you are, but if your around the age of about 13-18, its very common to create poltergeists yourselves. i know this may sound stupid but i believe its true. young adults of that age have a thing called selective hearing, wether you believe it or not, you create those sounds, from fear. if you have a problem with my advice, do some research. ill be more than welcome to be proven wrong. hope this helps!

No your not crazy. It could just be the sounds of the house, sometimes the pipes and floorboards creek under pressure....or maybe you have a ghost. Depending on whether or not you believe in ghosts that is. But hey, if it is a ghost, I wouldnt be too afraid because they do not seem too threatening.

You're not crazy, but you may be suffering from anxiety. This is a very normal problem, and if it's bothering you, and it seems like it is, you should think about seeing a psychiatrist. They will help you.

It's probably just a phase that will pass. It's not all that weird to hear things like foot steps.
