Question: Whats the big deal with picking at my scabs?
ive always picked at my scabs up until they heal and disappear and my mom keeps saying to not pick at them but for some reason i feel like i have to so i cant resist picking at them, she also sometimes randomly tells me not to cut myself (as if i don't realize i shouldn't be doing it) and has told me not to overdose (but she doesn't know that ive ever thought about suicide, i don't plan on doing it, they are just thoughts)

Picking scabs makes the scars worse. I used to cut and pick the infected wounds until they healed over. My entire left forearm is now covered in scars that i cannot hide without long sleeves.
