Question: What makes you feel better when you are a bit sad?

Take showers, or baths,
Listen to music,
Watch movies or tv,
Hanging out with Friends/Siblings,
Or just talking about what's wrong.

I walk/explore the neighborhood. I run errands. I go get yogurt. I work in the garden. I call a friend. I call another friend. I read a happy book. I work on a project. I go to yoga. I swim. I make a cup of tea. I give myself time to think about why I'm sad, then I make a plan to fix it. I look for clubs to join, art classes to take, or projects to do that give me a sense of accomplishment. I also volunteer. I've volunteered at a Marine Aquarium, the Zoo, the Boys & Girls Club, a food bank, an animal rescue place. In each place I've found people of like minds and gotten lots of attagirls for doing a productive thing for others.



Do something that you know would take your mind off of the subject that got you down.
For me, when I'm sad, I usually play some video games or watch Tv or a movie. Just do something that you know would help you think about something else, to get your mind off of things.



Listening to music, looking at pictures of the past, talking/hanging out with friends and going for walks/runs. Remembering, that sadness will pass and just reminds you that you are human.



To talk to my brothers or friends it gets my mind off of everything
