I've been taking anxiety medicine since July and it's been working sin!

Question: I've been taking anxiety medicine since July and it's been working since the end of July and now it's not?
I've been taking Clonzopam three times a day, Metoprolol once a day, and Citalopram once a day since the middle of July for a bad ongoing anxiety/panic attack I had after I got laid off from my job. The medications have been working fine from the end of July till last Tuesday (Feb. 1) now they're not working at all. I asked my doctor if she could raise my dosage but I can't see her until monday. If she raises my dosage will I have to wait weeks for the medicine to kick in or will it work right away since I'm still taking the medicine but only a lower dosage? I also take Good day supplments which I ordered and fish oil pills.

ask your psychiatrist to up your dosage. your body is getting too used to that dosage.

*i would say that you might feel a few side effects for the first couple days after raising the dosage. like you may have sweats during the night, or you might be a little moody, but you will adapt to it quick because you are already on Klonopin and have been for a while.

i used to take Klonopin, but it was way too strong for me, and i actually started abusing the drug. i havent touched it since about October or November of last year. i switched over to Ativan, 3 times a day. but now i only need it in the morning. have you thought about ativan? i like it better than k-pin, but it comes on a little stronger than k-pin and doesnt last as long.

good luck

*also, it's a good idea to get your psychiatrist's cell number. i didnt ask mine for her number, but she just gave it to me. because over the weekend i had a panic attack, and asked to change medicines, and she approved of it. so i went to pharmacy on a saturday and got my meds.
