How does depression feel like?!

Question: How does depression feel like?
I don't know if I have depression. Could you please give me some symptoms?

Answers:

During the onset of depression, your mood gradually tumbles within minutes. Something just isn't feeling right. You feel as if you've just got news that one of your family members have passed away, although you know no one has. Moments later, you feel unsafe, uncomfortable and even paranoid. During your depression, you feel alienated, like you're in a whole different world than what you knew before. You have this feeling of guilt preying on your conscience continuously. Things that you once enjoyed are irritating and annoying to you. You may or may not have motivation. You are stressed and worried a lot, even when good things are happening. You may be suicidal or even feel like you're going to die soon. It feels as if you're trapped in this plastic bubble, and all the joy and happiness of life around you bounces right off that plastic bubble and can't get to you. Everyone around you seem unusually happy yet you don't have a clue why. It feels like the joy and happiness is so so close to reaching you, but it just can't seem to penetrate through that plastic bubble around you, and you couldn't beat through the bubble, reach or grasp the joy and happiness no matter how hard you tried. Whenever you hear any good news, no matter if you just won $10000, it feels as if your excitement is replaced with disappointment. You feel emotionally deprived and suffocated from any joy or happiness by that plastic bubble around you, so you just wander around aimlessly and hopelessly, trying hard to find a way out. You feel trapped in a bad dream, a prison, and you just want out so you can continue to enjoy life like you did before, although you feel like you will never be able to get out.

Long term depression can lead to symptoms like hair loss, temperament loss, resorting to alcohol or drugs, misbehaving with friends and family members, being always cynical, loss of enthusiasm, hormonal imbalances, skin losing its shine and sometimes even thinking of suicide or self injuring indicates person is in depression.

If you identify with several of the following signs and symptoms, and they just won’t go away, you may be suffering from clinical depression.

you can’t sleep or you sleep too much
you can’t concentrate or find that previously easy tasks are now difficult
you feel hopeless and helpless
you can’t control your negative thoughts, no matter how much you try
you have lost your appetite or you can’t stop eating
you are much more irritable and short-tempered than usual
you have thoughts that life is not worth living (Seek help immediately if this is the case)

Figure out what cause you feel so depress and it might help you to relief yourself.

well for me its quite bad. I get a mild form of catatonia too when depressed. This means that my body feels slightly numb and funny like its made of rubber. It's not a nice sensation and it kind of makes me feel like im a piece of meat on a meat-hook, you know? something like that. I also feel sad for no reason, useless and tired, overly sensitive too. When my depression was at its worst i was also very much impulsive and suicidal, not thinkinh straight, seeing no future for myself either.

BAD. Very bad. The other side of hell in the black (burned) grass. And that is a better place. If you feel so bad, that suicide is too much work.
Peace.

Doubt you are depressed, you could not write this. No without swearwords.
