Could I have mild OCD?!

Question: Could I have mild OCD?
Some things I do:

- my things have to be laid out neatly on my desk at college. Planner on the left side (straight never wonky) with my pencil case neatly on top. Textbook on the right. Once I had to sort out and organise the person sitting next to me's stuff because it was annoying me.

- cover my food/drink with my hands whenever someone burps, etc. I don't take my hands off until I think the air is 'clean' again.

- have bad thoughts about people I care for dying or getting hurt. No matter how much I try not to think about them, I can't help it. Things like, "if the traffic lights don't turn green by the time I count down from ten, my mum will die". It sounds terrible and I hate it, but I honestly can't help it.

- whenever I slouch in a chair I get scared that my spine will snap! Haha, weird I know!

- I get stressed quite easily and if I don't do some things I start to feel angry and sometimes sick.

Are any of these OCD symptoms? They don't really interfere with my life (as in social events and occasions), but they definitely disturb me/affect the way I think or do things. Nobody else has really noticed this except my friends, who call me a 'perfectionist'.

Sorry for the long-ness!

Everybody has a touch of OCD, just of varying severity. OCD is diagnosed when it interrupts your normal way of living. You sound completely normal, if a little "perfectionist", as you put it. But OCD can develop and become worse through rules and rituals, if you let it.

the first one i think is
the second one might be just good hygiene, i hold my breath until it is "clean" again
i do the third one o.o
i think that is just paranoia
might be high blood pressure?

i am a hygiene freak and have a phobia of crumbs so i know what you mean about the hygiene stuff :L

probably OCD which is an anxiety disorder so reduce your stress and anxiety with exercise, gym, long walks, etc

i personally think u are and thts not to be mean but its a great posiballity tht u just might be.

I think this is mild OCD. But dont feel bad. There was a guy on here that had it sooo bad that he said he had to flip a light switch on and off until he felt comfortable and he spent up to 30 minutes doing it one time. LOL. We all have our little issues but I think ppl usually grow out of it or learn how to handle it better. Excercise will help with stress. And maybe one day you can just totally do everything out of order just to show yourself that it will be ok to step outside your comfort zone every now and then :)
