Anxious thoughts etc?!

Question: Anxious thoughts etc?
Hi, I've been suffering panic attacks, depersonalisation and a bit of depression for a few months now. It's knocked my confidence and is slowly ruining my life. I withdraw from going out because I'm scared of having another attack, I can't look forward to events that are going to happen, I simply worry how embarrassing it will be if I got a panic attack/how could I escape easily? I don't want this mind frame anymore.. I want my life to go back to normal :/ anyone else suffered this and beat it? or...? thanks.....

Answers:

you have conditioned yourself now to panic and sometimes therapy can be helpful in turning this back around
talk to your dr about a referral
try desensitising yourself
go for a short walk and gradually go further each day/week
go to places that are out of your comfort zone(not straight away, after a few weeks or so)

learn how to relax through deep breathing techniques
carry a paper bag with you that you can breathe into if you start to panic
look on www.mind..org.uk

best wishes
