Question: Is this bipolar or borderline?
I have an eating disorder and go from self starvation to binging and purging. I get moods of anxiety and depression, especially out in public. I hate being alone, but don't want to socialize because I feel too fat and unacceptable with my appearance. I feel very insecure. I cut myself, burn myself, and overdose on pills. I am very suicidal and just attempted suicide last night with self mutilation. I lie about everything--big and small. Ever since I could talk, I've been known as a compulsive liar. I criticize others for their mistakes, call them stupid, but never to their face. When I'm elated, I feel like I'm the best one in the group. Things have to be perfect to me, like the way I look. I don't take criticism well, but don't like to show how I feel because I may be called stupid.

i've gone through all of the same things. i'm sorry for what's happening to you. maybe talk to your doctor about changing doses and/or medications if they are not working for you. i take zoloft too, and it doesn't work very well for me. but please, don't attempt suicide again!
If this is all true you have anorexia_nervosa.
You also have suicidal tendencies and you need constant attention.
Only a psychologist can help you be diagnosed.
Your past family life brought most of this on. If you are hiding secrets
then that is why you are cutting yourself and lying.
Drugs is not the only answer. Counseling or Therapy
is your best option. As far as I can see this is not borderline or bipolar.
You do need professional help either way!
