Experiencing Hypnic jerk or what?!

Question: Experiencing Hypnic jerk or what?
Okay so I've never experienced This before, but last night and tonight as I was trying to fall asleep, after a certain point I hear like a pop(sounds like my jaw biting down) and I wake up, tonight it also felt like my neck had jerked too and then I'm wide awake with my heart pounding. After have a pot induced panic attack months ago I've developed anxiety problems. The anxiety has caused many different annoyances that come and go. I used to love sleep, I used to never sit there and think about anxiety like I do now. I've also developed sleep paralysis episodes recently too. In all honesty I'm extremely interested in committing suicide because I feel ill never sleep and enjoy the ignorance to all of these problems like I was in the past. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I have suffered with panic attacks for the last 15 years and all the counseling, medication and books I have purchased within those 15 years just masked the fear and never eliminated it for good. I thought I was doomed to keep on suffering until I found One Move by Panic Away.

Might be worth checking out.

Good luck & no more fears.

Sounds like you're grinding your teeth. I know it sounds weird but I think that's the case. As for the paralysis, are you taking any medications? I took imatrex and that stuff was trippy when I went to sleep. You might consult a physician.

I included 2 links below for help with anxiety. Browse their sites and see if you can contact them, explain your lack of funds and ask for free help. The second one seems to charge by the week. I can't see how much the first one charges, but they say they have a 12-month guarantee, so that sounds better.

At the 3rd link is some people talking about the 2nd link, including recommending buying it on EBay...

I read an article about how pot can accelerate certain mental problems. Visit your county or state health centers to see what kind of public health is available. You might also try a local hospital-- just go to their neurology department and talk to a nurse about seeing a doctor. They probably get lots of requests like yours and have a list of local resources. They can probably give you some great advice.

Try meditating. Search on Google for your city and Buddhism, or your city and Vipassana, and you'll find some places that can help with meditation.

The 4th link below is about suicide. Don't do it. You say "I can't afford to see a doctor." You can't afford not to. Imagine if you could solve your problems- that would be worth anything.

Also, you might try Google for: hypnosis sleep mp3
Try some of these. You could also try going to a health food store and getting some tryptophan to help you relax, maybe eat a potato or banana for the potassium, have a tylenol and a benedryl-knock-off (diphenhydramine hcl, I think) to help you relax, and listen to the tapes to relax. Of course, don't drink any coffee or tea or soda. In fact, try giving up sugar completely for a week or so.

Also, do you exercise? Try walking and exercising all day long (drinking a lot of water), till you're ready to drop, and then go to sleep. Also, do you have a female friend? Ask her to lightly massage you, lightly rub you all over- this produces relaxing hormones in your brain.

Also, write down your thoughts- what are you anxious about? It might be if you really got to the bottom of this, you could halt the anxiety. This is very, very difficult to do alone. If your brain is avoiding showing the incident to your conscious mind, you'll need to have someone else see what you avoid thinking about, and if you can trust them and keep answering their questions, they can lead you to see what your mind's not showing you. If there's a university nearby, they might have psychology students who can use the practice...

Good luck.
