7 Hours of Sleep? Is That Normal?!

Question: 7 Hours of Sleep? Is That Normal?
I'm 15 years old and I try to get enough sleep by going to bed early, but even then I wake up exactly 7 hours later (sometimes 6) and I can't go back to sleep because I'm not tired. Though, later on in the day like when I come back home from school, I'm tired. Is there anything I can do?

Answers:

Hi,

7 hours is fine, however teenagers do need more sleep than grown adults because of how their brain is developing.
Best just continue and have a regular pattern, like if you think you wake up too early, try going to bed a little later and vise versa.
Don't stress about it too much, its not a big deal really, your still sleeping, which is the main thing.

If you're wondering if it's too much; it's actually not enough. You should actually be getting (this is what my teacher told me) 10 hours of sleep. Seems like a lot... You should stay up when you feel tired and have a set bedtime.

take a nap when you get home from school.

6-7 hours of sleep is not unhealthy but studies show that teenagers usually sleep 9-13 hours a night.

However not everybody needs that much sleep.

Your body might be different.

Your sleeping completely normal and being tired is normal. don't worry so much.
