I'm absolutely terrified. Please help!?!

Question: I'm absolutely terrified. Please help!?
I'm terrififed to go to D.C for a week on our school trip. I don't want to go. I am anorexic, have horrible food allergies, anxiety and depression and I do not want to go. What should I do? I think my mom is going to make me go!
My anxiety is so bad that I literally cannot have sleepovers because I will freak out and go home. What should I do? Please no rude answers, I really need some help.

Personally, I think if the trip is upsetting you this much for this many reasons you might be better off not going.

You have severe anxiety because you are afraid that you will have a bad allergic reaction. This is not unfounded , but you need a mental health professional, as most doctors do not have the insight and training in your very real condition. It makes sense that you be fearful of a food reaction. But This Fear is ruling your life right now. Before you get any farther , have your doctor send you to a specialist that treats these specific problems. A counselor is ok for mild anxiety, but you are not having mild anxiety. You want to be normal, and not feel afraid. And you are reaching out for help, with this very serious set of problems, so you need someone you deals with your very real fears. It's time to get better doctors It's time to let your parents know you are needing help that you are not getting now. Your Parents do not want you to suffer like this. you know that, and who cares who knows this now, you are reaching out for help, so do it, and be the normal happy young woman you want to be.

Having anorexia is somewhat understandable with your food allergies, however you must determine what you can eat to keep yourself well nourished. I suspect poor nutrition is a major contributor to your anxiety and depression. Did you know that taking medications without eating properly will reduce the effectiveness of the meds? Your parents need to explore a holistic approach with your issues. I sincerely think you've created a destructive cycle for yourself with each phase of your life perpetuating the others.

I think you have become obsessed with your allergies to the point you allow them to rule your life. You need to give your attention to something other than yourself. Too often people become their illnesses...it becomes their identity, the thing that makes them special. This has to stop now or you will waste this glorious life you've been given. Life won't wait for you, it will leave you behind to wallow in your problems.

Carry food with you if you must, but get out there and live. AND EAT FOR GOD'S SAKE, OR YOU WILL NEVER GET BETTER.

Give up caffeine, at least until your anxiety goes away.

Read:

to determine why I recommend 9.5 hrs in the dark every night in the winter (preferably sleeping)
and get other helps for coping with depression.

Pack things you *can* eat for the trip. Tell some friends, who may be able to help you cope (including finding food) on the trip.

See a (mental) health professional.

My opinion is that you are not anorexic if you have horrible food allergies. You may be thin, but it is not because you do not want to eat.

Standard procedure for food allergies: Stop eating until the symptoms go away. Gradually add different things back into your diet until you find what it is that is causing the problem(s).

Study "stress management", and get some exercise, in the sun if possible.

Sounds like you should be seeing a doctor for your health both mentally and physically. They can help with the depression and anxeity through therapy, medication, or a combination of both. They can also help you with anorexia because that is not something to take lightly. You only get one body and it needs to be taken care of. I would make an appointment to see a doctor asap. Also, try talking to your mom. Most if not all moms are way more understanding than kids give them credit for. They are only hard on you because they want what's best for you.

talk to your mom how you really feel, and shell understand
but then again going away will help you be more stronger...who wouldnt want to be away from their parents for a while and see other places

discuss the matter with a counselor at school. I would think that you probably should not go.
