I think I seriously have ADD/ADHD?!

Question: I think I seriously have ADD/ADHD?
So to cut to the chase I think I have ADD/ADHD. I'm 16 at the moment, in high school, junior status. See I write stories and stuff and whenever I start a story I never really finish it, I always try to finish it, I think my idea will be good for another story, not just the one I try to finish. I have about 11-14 stories I haven't finished. Also when I do my homework I jump from subject to subject and end up not finishing anything and my grade it really suffering because of it. This is a very important year and my grades suck. I also like all of the subjects I'm taking but when I write I do so poorly in them. In english, when I write my essays, my teacher claims they are all over the place, nothing makes much sense so then he tells me to write it over, but it comes out the same way, if not worse. My friends and even some strangers have asked me if Ive ever gotten tested for ADD because apparently they notice I act erratically. I change my mind pretty quickly, I'm indecisive sometimes. When I take tests in any subject, it doesn't matter if it's math, physics, or history or english, I make stupid mistakes which I realize when I get the test handed back. I have a tutor for math and my grades haven't been improving at all. I'm always squirming when I sit down, if I'm shaking my leg or foot or tapping my fingers on the desk, I can't sit still. I just make really stupid mistakes and decisions and my grades have ben slipping greatly. Please can someone help? I can't take this anymore. I used to have depression because of some things, and I recovered, but I don't want to tell my mom that something else is very wrong with me. My brain is just all over the place sometimes. I cannot concentrate on anything at all. Please help, thanks a lot

sounds to me like you do, im in highschool too and I have ADD if you think you do then go to your school councelor they will contact you pediatrician and you'll get scheduled for an appoinment, you'll get a lot of papers from the Doc (dont worry there not all for you) there will be a parent evaluation sheet (your parents fill out) and a self evaluation sheet and two teacher evaluation sheets (take those to your councelor) once all of the forms are filled out and mailed to the doctor you will be scheduled for a second appoinment where the test will take place by a ADD/ADHD specialist.
and don't worry i was the same way i always got called out for acting odd.
once they decide what you do or dont have if you do your parents, you and the doctor will decide whats best (medicine, therapy, ect..)

i have ADD
