i know the people on here act like it's not a big deal or its easy. But i know that we both know its not and very stressing. i dont know how you could tell them but you truely should, to get help its for the best. Hopefully your parents are understanding and can help. They cant be too bad if you're willing to go to them for help.. good luck

One thing you can do is just tell them how you feel. If you don't there going to just act just as if you were bubbly and happy. If you don't there not going to try and fix it. Go to one ( or both ) of your parents and tell them, " Mom, lately I have feeling very depressed ". If she asks you " What do you mean ? " answer: " Well, I'm feeling suicidal and I feel like I don't want to live anymore". Try this.

you don't. you just resolve to live a life of negativity. its not all that bad. you are incredibly realistic about what is going on around you. i mean, it really never is that bad. whatever you believe do whatever you want to do. you are young just think of all the sex and medicinal marijuana there is for the future. resolve to be average in what you do and never disappoint yourself. regrets are meaningless and cause useless strain. =) i am currently awaiting the next terrorist attack, natural disaster, ice age, nuclear explosion. that seems more realistic to me. i'm hoping to get out of this life sometime down the road but there are some things i want to do first!

Telling the people that we care about that we are struggling can be very difficult. It is great that you are looking for a way to reach out for help! It is important to let an adult know about these feelings so that they can assist you in getting the help that you need. It sounds like you feel that you can talk with your mom but are unsure on how to approach it. If you don't feel that you can talk with her in person, try writing a letter or an email telling her how you feel. This can take away the pressure of a face to face conversation. Let her know that you think you need to see a doctor and explain to her how you have been feeling! It can and will get better if you contiue to reach out for help!

If you want to talk or need some advice, please call one of our counselors at 1-800-448-3000. We are youth crisis line and are here 24 hours a day 7 days a week to help. We look forward to hearing from you!!

straight out and honestly. if you don't have a psychiatrist tell them to take you to the nearest ER where you will tell them what you said here and they will admit you immediately. as a parent i would want to know if my child felt this way and needed help. same if it was one of my grandchildren.

been there with myself.

I am in the EXACT same situation!!! I'm 14 also & have bipolar depression. But I can't tell my parents. Bipolar depression is hard to hide so I just stay alone most of the time (which dosent help with the suicidal thoughts). Lemme kno if u get a good answer.

Just open up and tell them. Be honest about everything. If they don't take you seriously then try your school counselor. If that doesn't work, then get in touch with the nearest behavioral unit or hospital and ask for their help/advice.

call the suicide hotline and they'll refer you to a hospital and they will tell your parents for you(most of the time). i doubt you need your parents to be admitted into the hospital if you are 'unstable'

say: "mom i'm suicidal and depressed...will you check me into a hospital or a rehab center, please"

there you go, not too hard

good luck I told my mom and she said oh well.

Tell them how you feel. If they truly love you and they will understand.

Feeling the same way but I can't tell them

Simple - Just talk with them. They're you're parents, they will understand..
