I can't sleep in my room?!

Question: I can't sleep in my room?
For the last month and a half I haven't been able to sleep in my room. This is strange for me because my room used to be my hideaway and I loved being in it. Nothing has changed in the room... I just don't feel comfortable. It take hours to fall asleep when I'm in there and sometimes I can't fall asleep at all.

I'm 22 yrs old, I'm not afraid of the dark or anything. I sleep on the couch now... And I'm not fond of watching tv before bed. I just feel more comfortable there. I can sleep just about anywhere else in the house except my room and the spare room. I don't know why this is happening... I do suffer a bit from anxiety, depression and insomnia.......
I still live with my parents and they are insisting that I sleep in my room tonight and I don't like the thought of it. It makes me nervous...

My parents think my anxiety is all in my head. They don't know about my diagnoses with the depression--they would just roll their eyes and tell me its in my head. But how can it just be in my head when I have physical symptoms? Its so hard to explain it to them... They just tell me to pray.... *sighs*

Does anyone have any advice or know what this can be from?

I am struggling from the same thing. It's not in your head.
Depression, stress overload, anxiety, and insomnia are very real
and no one chooses to suffer from these conditions. People
may possess these tendencies due to life circumstances that
have caused a lot of pressure upon them. Some people have
trouble pointing out a cause for these conditions.

You can be born with these problems, and I believe that
I was. Go to a counselor or a psychiatrist.

3 options

1)Try running before bed (be safe about it though), get really tired.
2)If you have twin+ size bed, maybe deep down you don't like that much space......hint hint that's why you like the couch.
3) your bed is to hard/soft

If they'll insist you to sleep in your room better change something in your bed, the position of your bed, your stuff and all. Maybe you could sleep when you seen that you have new different room.

I don't sleep in my room either. It was haunted but I put holy water and blessed it and slept in it before without problems but I just don't want to sleep in my room. I say its no big deal.
