Question: What if people say you need help?

I am middle aged. I have seen therapists before many times. I stay to myself, stay isolated, do not bother anyone, never get mad, & I will not complain. My parents still deny anything is wrong with me so I ignore my emotions by anorexia making me numb. But I did recover off & on. A psychiatrist told me how very sick of a girl I am last year? Geez...So, I never went back. Even a priest at a catholic church that I was trying to join said he was closing the door on me until I get therapy. So, are these people most definitely right or can I judge for myself based on breakdowns & severe panic attacks in my past?

the solutions to mental problems can vary from one person to another , if you are not happy with the diagnosis from your doctor you are in your rights to get a second opinion.
never try and go it alone

I would say that they are right.
If a medical doctor, who specializes in mental health, such as a psychiatrist says you need help, WHY would you not keep going back for help?
