Question: Can you die if you dont sleep?
I haven't been sleeping at night for about a month. I've been sleeping i the morning until night and breaking night again. My grandma said we could if we keep on doing this.Is it true?

It doesn't matter when you sleep as long as you get some sleep 6-8 hours a day is good. if you don't sleep at all you won't last long, yes weird as it sounds you can die quicker from lack of sleep than lack of water and food.

Teens require between 9-10 hours of sleep. Younger children need more. Research shows that sleep is essential for good physical and mental health. Not really.
As long as your brain has a minimum of 8 hours daily (for adults) of shut down, you are fine.
Doesn't matter whether you sleep day or night.
People prefer sleeping at night because you can't do anything much during the day.
I've been sleeping through the day and going to university at night from 12 AM ~ 6 AM for the past 4 years.



I don't think so, although I will say that I've heard many times that night sleep and day sleep are not the same. Night sleep is better for you (so I heard). I guess it's a mind thing.

If you never sleep though, or hardly sleep, eventually your body and mind will give up and you'll just fall asleep.



its IMPOSSIBLE to not sleep!!! would would faint and be knocked out before you die from not sleeping. its like how it is impossible for you to hold your breath to kill your self. thats why its sooo funny when kids do it to threaten their parents!!! :)

as long as you are sleeping AT ALL, you should be fine. you wont DIE. but you might want to consider changing your sleeping habbits. i mean dont you have job to get to during the day or school or some ****?! :)



Nope,its not.our body requires 8 hours of sleep,be it any time,in morning or at night.if you dont sleep continuosly for many days then it can increase the risk of heart attack.so try sleeping for 8 hours at any time.



You CAN live that way technically, because you are getting SOME sleep.
But I recommend you not do that and get some decent sleep.
It helps you stay sharp, have good hair, skin, eyes and stay fit.
