Do you think it's OK to kill people for smoking?!

Question: Do you think it's OK to kill people for smoking?
That is the attack society has on smokers. They are out to kill all smokers. Smoking doesn't make any one a bad person; but it does hurt the person who smokes, so you shouldn't be doing it, especially at a young age. When you're old and about to die it's a different story.

However, society has an all out attack on smokers. That's primarily because they have been convinced that second hand smoke affects others, and want to use that to attack smokers. That is really not the case. You can get cancer from a lot of other things such as chemicals they put in the food and in the air; but they will never say that; although there was a recent show on Dr. Oz about it. The problem is they lump all cancers as if they're caused by smoking, so society feels that gives them the right to attack smokers even to the point of killing them. That is not humane. They are even preventing smokers from having a job; that is killing the smoker as well as the smokers' family, including children. I am not saying it's OK to smoke. You should not smoke. What I am saying is it's not OK to kill people for smoking, especially since it is some thing society started them on and continues to promote and supply it. Even when smokers go the doctor the doctors treat them bad and want to kill them in stead of helping, attending, them.

I believe it's a witch hunt and when humans stop killing people in so many ways as they do, then they have a right to talk about some thing. The leading cause of death is humans, including by the smoking issue in every aspect. If it is OK to kill smokers then we should kill all the people doing bad things. There's a lot of witches out there of many kinds.

Answers:

Saying society is "killing" smokers is a little far fetched, but I totally know what you mean. I just recently dropped out of school because of a campus wide smoking ban, cannot return to my old job because of a complete company wide smoking ban, and don't go down town to be social anymore because of a bar wide smoking ban. While I might still be alive, I feel totally discriminated against everywhere I go and completely rejected in society.

Nobody's killing smokers(unless there's an underground movement we haven't heard about), and just because other things are bad, doesn't make smoking better.

People shouldn't smoke, period.

And smokers should stop acting like victims, because a lot of the bad-feelings amongst smokers, are self-inflicted.

no its not okay. if that would be allowed everyone would be a murderer..
years later the smokers get cancer and they realise it was wrong of them too smoke.
that law shouldnt exist. let them choose! ( its a bad choice)

my brain

No it's not okay. Everyone should be aloud to make their own choice, if someone doesn't like someone smoking, then they should move out the way. However smokers do have to be confronted with the fact that they're hurting those around them etc... I know a lot of parents that smoke in houses with kids with asthma, they're addicted and can't stop but their killing their kids.
It's a tough one. But I am pro choice in most cases.

The reason society attacks smokers is not only because of second hand smoke its because it has no benefits and pollutes the atmosphere, and they throw there butts on the floor and litter, what really annoys me is when smokers just throw their butts on the floor without stamping them out think about all the millions of people who do that over the years and how much pollution that is alone. Also it isn't nice to be in a room with a smoker if you struggle to breath around the fumes.

Killing people is just wrong!!! No matter what they do or who they are. You should not kill because you are taking a person's life away. What if someone wanted to kill you for something? Wouldn't you be scared that they'll take your life away? Also, if that's not bad enough you'll be death sentenced or be in federal prison for life. Not so fun. Also, smokers do change and some of them learn and quit their bad habits.
