I'm 17 years old and lately I never feel real?!

Question: I'm 17 years old and lately I never feel real?
It used to only happen when I was tired or it was late at night, but lately it's all the time. I don't know why. It makes it hard for me to go to school and have fun because I never feel real. What's wrong with me and what can I do to fix it?

It's called Depersonalization.

Google it. I have it, it's horrible.

What do you want? Do you want to feel real or not? What's the problem with not being real? Do you feel it's just you or everyone and everything?
I think you need to except your feelings and stop fighting them and then they'll drift away. If I say don't think about elephants what's the first thing you do? There you go. That's what's happening with that thought in your head right now, it's consuming you because you're fighting it.
If that doesn't work, tell a friend/family member about it, I'm sure most people can relate to what you're feeling.

Well it kind of depends what you mean when you say you don't "feel real". But I think maybe your just trying to find yourself? Maybe you just need some new friends to support you??? Or maybe you just feel guilty of something? Your subconscious is trying to tell you something? My last theory is that if you are doing things like drinking, smoking, drugs.... Maybe that's the affect they have on you and you need to stop?

I kinda have the same problem. I think it's just being a teenager and you just want to get out of school and live instead of being stuck in High school. I think that the best thing is just to push though it. Also you might try doing something that will give your life meaning, like possibly getting a job or I find that running helps a lot.

Well honestly.... This life is not real. Your real life is after you die. Your soul in heaven. Maybe that's why you don't feel real

I know that feeling. Try to sleep it of, or wake yourself up.
