Is this bipolar disorder or something else complete or just normal?!

Question: Is this bipolar disorder or something else complete or just normal?
OK sometimes I feel very creative, very inspired, and feel "high". I feel like I can accomplish ANYTHING in the world. And then sometimes I feel like sh!t and feel like a loser and the complete opposite of feeling "high". And these 2 feelings happen in the same day usually.

Bipolar Disorder isn't like that. There is a period of depression- which looks like you, if you can't even get off the couch to shower or change your clothes for at least two weeks. You have thoughts of killing yourself. You can't think very well. If you talk it is like only the slow version of you came by. All of this may or may not be preceded by a major traumatic event. It may happen out of the blue.
Then you'll be back to 'normal' for awhile. You may have more of these episodes, but you may not.
Then at some point after, you will experience a period of maybe a day to several days where you don't sleep, and you are hyperactive to the point that people you know are worried- even scared. You may spend everything on your credit card in the belief that you have a genius idea. You may get extremely promiscuous, or behave in other unsafe ways. You may get delusional and believe you are the reincarnation of christ. These delusions are not guaranteed to be dangerous, but they can be- in ways you may not want to know.
That's a bland version of Bipolar Disorder. Not everyone is like that exactly, but you need the major depressive episode as well as the major Manic episode to be diagnosed with it.
Oh- and you also need a psychiatrist- who specializes in this kind of thing- to be diagnosed.
As a creative person, I can tell you that it takes discipline to manage your energy. The creative act can be very exhausting, and you should treat it like work. Make sure you eat and sleep properly in between.

DSM IV TR, personal experience. Psych degree.

Hi! bipolar disorder it's not about quick changes of mood, it seems to me that you may have cyclothymic disorder. here's some info, hope it's useful :)
Cyclothymia, also called cyclothymic disorder, is a mild form of bipolar disorder. Like bipolar disorder, cyclothymia is a chronic mood disorder that causes emotional ups and downs.

With cyclothymia, you experience periods when your mood noticeably fluctuates from your baseline. You may feel on top of the world for a time, followed by a low period when you feel somewhat blue. Between these cyclothymic highs and lows, you may feel stable and fine.

Compared with bipolar disorder, the highs and lows of cyclothymia are less extreme. Still, it's critical to seek help managing these symptoms because they increase your risk of bipolar disorder. Treatment options for cyclothymia include psychotherapy, medications, and — most important — close, ongoing follow-up with your doctor.

No, that is not bipolar disorder. In bipolar disorder, mood episodes are pervasive and long lasting, and there is generally a period of normal mood between bipolar episodes.

That being said, bipolar disorder is actually a spectrum of disorders and many people experience bipolar disorder in different ways. Cyclothymia is a disorder on the bipolar spectrum and is characterized by mood swings that are frequent, sudden, and short lived. See a psychiatrist. Only a psychiatrist can help you.

Also depending on your age, the problem could simply be hormonal.

can be normal if you are a teenager
