Does this kid have aspergers?!


Question: Does this kid have aspergers?
There's a kid in my computer science class (college class). Whenever he raises his hand, instead of asking a question he'll give a comment, and the teacher has to interrupt him and tell him that he knows, but we aren't learning that yet. Now whenever he raises his hand the teacher always asks, "is this a question," and whether or not it's a question he'll try to say it and the teacher has to constantly interrupt him and tell him that he's not interested. This kid also seems to talk kind of funny, and basically he doesn't know how to shut up.
I can tell that people in the class get pissed at him, but I don't think he can help it, and it sounds like aspergers to me. What do you think?

He could have aspergers. Though he could also be retarded or think he's being funny. There's a boy in my class that sounds very similar to the guy that your describing. He's smart at some things but then comes out with completely random or childish things for no apparent reason. I think my Art teacher gets rather annoyed at him and keeps telling him to think before he speaks! :)

My younger cousin has autism and he doesn't really act like that. He goes to a school with a base for children that have special needs and he really keeps himself to himself. Apart from when there there is a dog around - he freaks out big time (and I mean screaming, crying and banging his head off stuff).
