CAN anyone helpp....my 1 yr old has cerebral atrophy..?!


Question: CAN anyone helpp....my 1 yr old has cerebral atrophy..?
My 1 year old has chronic cerebral atrophy due to her generalized seizures.. her MRI results read 'Diffuse left cerebral hemisphere atrophic changes, as above these appear to be chronic in origin. No acute intercranial process is noted' Can anyone translate..

she has a neuro appt coming up but i can't wait I am just searching for answers and googling like crazy...

i think it means the left side of her brain is not getting enough blood and oxygen, this usually happens after a stroke, not sure why it's happening to a 1 year old though, might be epilepsy
