really confused! Please help me!!!?!

Question: Really confused! Please help me!!!?
Let me give you some information. I am in grade 10 right now, beginning of second semester. My average is around 92%. I told my parents that I wanted to go back to South Korea because I really don't like living here because of racism and also many other personal reasons. They said they would consider it. Right now we are just talking through and I know living here is not going to make me happy ever because the 5 years I have been living in Canada was really bad. I didn't enjoy it and everything was forced upon me and I didn't make my own decisions. Now I am trying to actually live my life by making decisions for myself and trying to make my life less miserable. I know Canada's education is easier but I really don't care because I don't care about studying hard. Studying is not a problem for me because I can really study all day. So I am ready to take on the challenge of going back to South Korea. If I leave now, I would be entering high school first grade. Do you think I should lower one grade and enter 3rd grade of middle school or just go with high school. Also do you think I should go into co-ed high school or just all girls (I hear girls are so dramatic). And I am not going to international school because I really don't want to major in English and would like to learn more Korean. Please answer my questions above including this one. Do you think it is bad idea to go back to South Korea even though Canada does not make me happy. And don't just say it is bad idea because if I stay I would be sad for basically more of my teenage life and even more so saying it is bad idea is not a good or reasonable answer. Please put yourself in my shoes as I am really serious! Thanks

I can only offer my personal opinion. First of all, have you lived in or considered the US? Not all parts of it are friendly, but if you move to somewhere like California, you are definitely going to find diversity and tolerance. There are areas where you will likely feel accepted no matter how you look or act or what you believe in. Not only this, California also offers nearly unlimited opportunities to advance yourself socially or in a career. Just something to consider. If you have made up your mind to go back to South Korea, it would probably make more sense to start school in the high school level, since you seem relatively smart. This will help you get ahead and learn to overcome life's obstacles sooner. If you feel unhappy, don't have many friends and feel estranged where you are, moving is definitely a consideration. It may not bring all of the answers you hope for, but it gives you a chance to stretch yourself and a greater chance of succeeding in your life goals and ambitions. The most important thing, however, is to keep an open mind and not give up hope.

Oh, and a co-ed school would be advisable. It presents more interaction with people as a whole and will help you develop a better sense of normal societal roles and courtesy.

u don't have to go back to South Korea...its not the country entirely. U just been living in a unfavorable community. There are places that are friendly like California...for instance. I heard SKoreans go to Fullerton because of the large korean community and everyone is nice.

Since it seems you want to go back,,GO..Start in the 1st grade of high school and go to a co-ed school. This way you will learn how real life is. thank you

If you have enoff to live on there then that is not a. Bad idea at all and you will be happy for ever good luck

First off, believe in yourself and your abilities. You are unique and it doesn't matter where you go, you will always have outside forces trying to set you back. You have to start working on become better and self developing and you will see how everything will become better for you. You are at an age that it happens to everyone, don't worry. I have been through it and millions of people too! It's normal. Focus on reading, because billions of people have live before us, have face the same problems we are all facing, and have wrote a book about it!.

A book I recommend is Power Thoughts by Joyce Meyer!. Another one is Conversations with God. Don't worry, everything wILL get better. Just believe in yourself. "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change".

Hunny I am sorry for the racism you have received. I truly am. I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive them though. Honestly it is your life so you taking the steps to go to South Korea is very of age. I think it is okay to go back and learn more of your culture and etc.. but please do not forget Canada. I know you may not like it but not all people are bad there. There are good and bad people everywhere. Just remember that and let your heart lead you.
