I have anxiety/depression and i used to afraid to fall asleep. I always thought i would never wake up and just die in my sleep. But somehow ii stopped worrying about it and i just started dozing off casually and now i can asleep quite easily. My advice is to just stop thinking about it constantly , do something to take your mind of the thought of sleeping when you need to. OR go to your doctor and try to get sleeping pills! Hospitals are nothing to fear , they are there to help you, same with all the wonderful doctors in them! :) good luck.

Your not crazy.. When you try to go to sleep are you in a sleep or just starting to go to sleep? There is a thing called sleep paralysis, and it can make you feel like someones in the room with you, and you can hear and see things that aint there, and you can't move. It happens just before your in a deep sleep, it's your dreams but you are actually awake.. It's SOOOooo scarey, i have suffered with it since i was 15 (now 31). If it is this, please don't be scared, and please seek some medical help. It happens more when your stressed. it's a form of a panic attack. I hope this has helped, but please please talk to your GP about it..xxx Good luck, and i hope you get your answers your looking for..xx

I had the same problem, what helped me is just texting someone having a chat till you get tired then try falling asleep while still texting the other person then when you get replies you don't feel alone so its easier so sleep that was my problem anyway hope it helps and good luck :)
