benzodiazepine withdrawal possible?!

Question: Benzodiazepine withdrawal possible?
Is it likely that I may be experiencing benzo withdrawal even though I take my Klonopin as directed? I have been on the same dose: .5mg three times a day for well over a year. Is it possible that I have become tolerant of this dose and am beginning withdrawal? I have also been prescribed Ambien even since starting klonopin. Ambien only works if I use it once or twice a week. The last Rx in my trifecta is Adderall 20mg IR twice a day. Basically, everything was going well.. now efficacy is hit or miss. The last I talked to my doctor (months ago) I stated that I felt I needed at least 30mg adderall to get with the program (start my engine in the morning) and the remaining 10 mg I have per day was nil. So, after being on the same routine, I suggested that I needed a bump up in both Dextroamphetamine and clonazepam but hey replied "I don't want you coming back to me bitching when your heart is the size of a softball.. and why more benzo? it's just gonna cancel out the adderall. It doesn't even work that way. Is there anyone else in a similar situation where you just become tolerant and no longer benefit from meds? It's like just taking them to get by. I asked to move to 20mg adderall 3 times a day, keep my klonopin the same, add a low count of xanax for extreme moments, and knock off the ambien to add soma (injuries). To the soma, he replied "that'll just knock you on your *** and it's addictive".. and ambien isn't addictive? it used to knock me on my ***. I would love to hear some input from people on a similar regime. And before somebody suggests talking to my doctor again.. my insurance is in limbo and I can't spend 100 dollars for a 2 minute chess match with the Doc. He just keeps writing me the same Rx's over and over,.. no problem.

Answers:

Yes you are having benzo withdrawl, I suggest talking to another healthcare professional if your current doctor isn't helping

I'm a doctor

Do you want a withdrawal? It is possible but not from Klonopin. You have to change benzo first to Valium equivalent and reduce Valium. The reason is that Klonopin is addressing the reward center in the brain but not Valium. But you have to be aware that 1 mg Klonopin is not 1 mg Valium, there is a conversion factor.

The question will remain what to do in case of anxiety? Once you are on withdrawal you cannot
use any pills from the benzo family. You will need other methods you may not have heard much of
and it will take long letters to explain how they work and why they work.
My suggestion is to contact the largest Yahoo group depression-anxiety and ask for help.

To begin with, the klonopin is the only med that u mentioned that is in the benzo family. Also, why is your doc giving u meds that make u drowsy? U can accidently overdose your self and when u go to sleep, u will not wake up cause u will be dead. Adderall is the combination amphetamine and dextroamphetamine. Also, if u are taking klonopin, u do no need xanax because xanax is in the benzo family, and treats the panic disorders like the klonopin, so why would u need both? Unless u also suffer from seizures, klonopin helps with that but xanax doesn't. Using all these meds will damage your kidneys, and the liver, and possibly need transplant in the worse case. As for u going thu withdrawal, this is not the case. But your body will build a tolerance to it. All the RX were not meant to be long term thing.
The only thing I see is u going down the long road to addiction. The doctor u have needs to be reported.
