What should I think about to get to sleep?!


Question: What should I think about to get to sleep?
I can never get to sleep because I'm thinking about trying to get to sleep!
Please help...

Read some boring books...



Try to have an out of body experience or ASTRAL projection. Look it up thats what i do, after a while it will teach you how to relax your body and empty your mind. You don't have to actually try to leave your body, and if you dont think its real it doesnt matter cause it will make you sleep, it always works for me.

I think its like this:

Breath in through your nose, out through your mouth (breathe with your stomach)
Make sure you are comfortable no jewelry or restricting clothing.
focus on the black void inside your eyelids. (make sure room is dark)
don't move your body and allow yourself to relax
imagine that you can feel the air your breathing in going down into the tips of your toes
look as far to the left,right,up,down until it kidna hurts (that will relax your eyes)
try and focus on one thought at a time and let it slip away, try and only focus on the black void
forget everything else
feel you muscles relax from the tip of your toes all the way to the top of your head
breathe like you would if you were sleeping
try counting your breathes in and out while focusing on the black void
and be completely relaxed
before sleep images and thoughts will start to appear try and allow one to take over
and immerse yourself into it for as long as possible then go on to the next
(if you were trying to astral project you would ignore them and try and do the mind awake body asleep thing) but let yourself get pulled into these images and you will fall into a dream.

ALSO try listening to ambient music at a very low level so you can barely hear it cause it will be loud when you are trying to sleep. I like listening to telepopmusik - just breathe



I agree with Mandy W, I make up a role play to get to sleep I place myself as a character that I make into a TV show that I like or have just watched and then make a story. sometimes i pretend its really me, usually I make a completely different fantasy person who i play in the story. I most of the time I don't use movies because they have endings that are usually not that open for interpretation. Sometimes I even use a book if I really like it but the characters are not as clearly outlined in books as they are in TV shows (i mean their appearance) But its really up to you and how you want to do it! it might not work for you but its worth giving it a try



I genuinely think about nothing my mind is completely blank when I fall asleep. My sister asked me the same question not too long ago, and when I told her what I do she said it is a lot harder for women to clear their mind to fall asleep.



Make up a role play in your head. A fantasy roll play every one of my friends and family do it when they cant sleep. Like a movie in your brain!
