I'm 21 and I don't know what to do with my life. Any tips?!

Question: I'm 21 and I don't know what to do with my life. Any tips?
I graduated from HS in 2008 and took a year off to figure out what to study in university. I worked full time as a quality assurance assistant for that year. I decided I wanted to major in Biology, and took school full time.

Well, after 1 year, I LOATHED biology. I hated everything about it. And I was failing all of my courses because I had no interest in them. This past year, I changed my focus to business and started taking business classes. I got very good grades this year, so far, except in math. The problem is, I don't really find what I'm doing too interesting. I absolutely hate math and I can't do good in it, no matter how hard I study. My strong suit is English. I can write essays very well. I also like history. The problem is, neither History or English offer viable careers that will get me far in life. Money is important to me too.

I'm very lost and I'm thinking of dropping out, because I hate college and everything I'm studying. Meanwhile, all my friends will be in their final year next year and I can't get my **** sorted out. I feel so dumb and left behind. Any help?

It's rather simple. Most people do not know what they want to do with their lives even AFTER they are done with school. Only those that have aspirations to medicine or the sciences are truly fortunate enough to at least have a fixed goal. Spending tens of thousands of dollars at a university to discover ones self for the first year seems an awful waste of time and money.

Take 48 hours and use it to figure out what you would like to do for the rest of your life...at least in the short term. Do you do charitable work or sports? Check out Team in Training? Perhaps you just need something outside of school to keep you going through the calc, chem and poly sci gunk.

Count up your credits, see what major(s) you can qualify for and go for it.

Don't worry, what you study in college, unless it is in the field of sciences and mathematics often has little or no bearing on where you will end up in life.

Ok first thing you need to do is pull your head out of your butt. Why do you want to all of a sudden drop out out of college? Don't you have a goal in life as to what you want to accomplish in life? A Lawyer? Do you want to study Architecture? You know Architects they make lots of Money. Let me tell you something I never Graduated from High School I was a High School Drop out But I am Veteran of the U.S Army. That's It have you considered of Joining the Military? I am thinking you could make a list of all the things you really like, and then combine it with the subjects you like.
For instance it would go well together, to include business (with ANYTHING) , english, history, with a journalist, reporter, writer, tv producer, work for google, the history channel, disney, make movies, write biographies, make tv series, work for national geoographic and the like.
Just have a brain storming session or more and write down all your ideas even if they don't seem like much.
I don't know anyone who isn't bored out of their minds in school, there are some educators that want to change the way teaching and subjects are taught. Maybe you could get involved with that also.
Otherwise, stick it out, change to a televison production school , journalism, or something that will keep it fun for you.
best wishes. what is your ideal career? what is your ideal life? create it.
