Anxiety or Hypo/hyperthyroidism?!

Question: Anxiety or Hypo/hyperthyroidism?
I'm confused to whether i'm confusing my anxiety with hypo/hyperthyroidism.

I'm showing these signs for anxiety - nervousness, trouble concentrating, irritability, easy to startle, nausea, chronic worry about events that are unlikely to occur, inability to shut off constant anxious thoughts, feelings of dread.

What do you think?

Please ask if you need any more information.

You have clearly stated and have most of the puzzle pieces here, good for you.
Thyroid is a hormone and it regulates other hormones as well. That you stated your symptoms , and the fact that you have irregular periods, it is a high probability that you DO have a hormone imbalance of some kind, and at your age, likely.
Now, you have some decisions to make on how you want it to be treated, and it can be .
You can go to an obgyn, who will maybe test some of your hromones, or just throw antidepressants and birth control pills at it , without even testing, and may or may not be what you need.
Or you could get tested properly , by doctors who are experts, like these thehallcenter.com feelingfff.comm and get yourself treated right. It is worth the extra effort.
Suzannesomers.com has several really good books out on this, and has trained herself in hormones and how to stay well as a woman.
She also lists doctors in her books , and you could find them in your area by going to her site, or calling a compounding pharmacy in your area and asking them what doctors test and balance hormones.
Not all are the same, so you need to educate yourself a little first.
Why, do all this? Because there are different ways doctors 'treat' this, and then there are the ones who really know how to balance them and help you.
My guess is that will be all you need, perhaps with a little healing boost to go with it like this eftmastersworldwide.com eftuniverse.com a free self help version click on 'get started free'.
Hormones regulate our moods , cause anxiety and depression if out of balance and most of your symptoms.
The nausea may be another issue caused by imbalanced hormones. idk. Nausea can indicate different things and at your age, I would not think it is overly serious. Ask the doctors you get.
'stress' can and does increase hormones , like cortisol, that can disrupt our sleep and keep our adrenals pouring out too many stress hormones , like an open throttle on a car, and those in turn can imbalance sex hormones, and visa versa, if our thyroid is not in the ideal range .3 to 2 (write that down and get copies of all your labes and begin a life long medical file folder) then it throws off all other hormones also.
That is why I am always suggesting people have their hormones properly checked.
No mental health medication willl or has ever HEALED anyone.
This may be all you need, if you find the right doctor.
Most of these types of doctors know that vitamin mineral, our diets, and everything we injest, through our mouths or skin, or environment in some way, effect our health. You don't want a doctor who is so out of touch with reality they say it doesn't matter what we eat , or drink. Those things are creating us and our health, or ruining us and our health.
best wishes.
