Is it ok for me to take those anti anxiety pills?!

Question: Is it ok for me to take those anti anxiety pills?
I am taking Deanxit. It contains flupentixol and melitracene . I am 16 and I have a bit of problems so I need to relax sometimes when I'm too anxious. Those are my mom's pills, she doesn't know I take 'em sometimes (actually only 2 times yet)... So she said I won't get addicted cause she gave me a pill once. Do you think I can take those pills?

Answers:

No-these medications can only be prescribed by a Dr. There are sometimes negative effects in a person under 18 especially, and a Dr. has to monitor you when on it. Tell your mom to take you to the Dr. and do not take her medication.

everyone gets anxious. what you need to do is learn how to manage it.

i don't know that pill but it is probably a benzo, which causes memory problems and sometimes causes aggression.

i think prescribing anxiety pills is a mistake.
