Why do I have these dreams?!

Question: Why do I have these dreams?
We used to have an Old friend that we knew very well but we haven't seen her in about a year. For some reason she stopped seeing us and we departed from each other. Anyhow, I've been having the same dreams every night about her and her family I wake up feeling sad and wanting to see them. The dreams are usually about when we're friends again and we're having cups of tea together and we're having good fun. Can anyone explain why I keep having repeats of the same dream?

You answered your own question.

You miss the friendship.

Dreams are a way the subconscious mind brings to your conscious mind, things you won't admit to yourself for some reason.

If you didn't stop seeing each other because of some incident and didn't end the friendship on bad terms, then you might want to contact that person and see if she would be interested in getting together some time.

But if the person declines, then I would let it go.

However, seeing as she was having tea with you in your dream, this tells me that your subconscious mind knows she would be up to this and it would be possible, because you can't lie to your subconscious self. If there was no way she was going to want to be friends with you, it would be unlikely that you would dream of the possibility.

If you have this dream again, ASK her, in your dream, why you two haven't been seeing each other, and you will get the real reason.

You have to condition yourself NOW, that the very next time you ever see her, that you will ask her this question, because you may not know you are dreaming, so if it is something you tell yourself you are going to do in real life, you will ask her in the dream.

Many people who have had monsters chase them in dreams, when finally confronting the monster and asking who it is and why they are chasing them, will suddenly appear as the person, such as their boss or friend, that they are having a problem with and will answer what the exact problem is. That will also be the last time the person has this nightmare, because they now know what it is that has been bothering them, that they weren't honest enough to admit to themselves in their awake lives.

things that have been on your mind constantly usually end up being your dreams its just that sometimes you dont remember. i dont know the bare scientific details but thats usually what dreams are all about.

It stems from your subconcious, try communicating with that person, and the dreamsshould go away.

you miss her.
