Can working way too hard kill brain cells?!

Question: Can working way too hard kill brain cells?
Ha, silly question, but seriously - sometimes I feel so stupid towards the end of the day at my job, my cognition being ground into nothing throughout the day.

I work in a kitchen at a small and very busy restaurant/bar, and for those of you who don't know - kitchen jobs are extremely hard work. More often than not, I work for 8 hours straight at a fast pace, multi-tasking and getting more exercise than I need. I can have a break any time I wish, but I usually never have time to take a single break in 8 hours (and I usually even have to stay for an hour of overtime to finish up). I never even get the chance to eat or drink any water either, but I usually can swing a fast bathroom break once or twice though. (This job sucks, right? They do pay me very well, and treat me well otherwise though, and I make very good money for what it is.)

So when shift change happens, I usually end up embarrassing myself by asking very stupid questions, by stuttering (I never stutter!), by not being able to effectively communicate simple work-related things, etc..

And even when I don't get drunk afterward to alleviate myself I swear I feel like I have a hangover the next day anyway - a bad headache, and a foggy head for half of the next day (not to mention my muscles usually being sore all over from over-exertion). If I get home at say 7p.m., I may even have to go to bed at 7:30 or 8p.m. because I am completely exhausted.

So, can working way too hard kill brain cells? Other than quitting this job, what kind of supplements might I take or foods might I eat to improve my overall mental health through such extreme labor?
