The only way to get a diagnosis is to see a psychiatrist. The best way of doing that is by seeing your regular doctor and asking them to refer you.

The only doctor who would be able to correctly diagnose this would be a psychiatrist. That professional is trained in the act of diagnosing this disorder and would be the one who would give the diagnosis so that you are able to go to the place that you have in mind.

It is possible, when you are experiencing symptoms which are noticeable of bipolar disorder, that going to a regular hospital which has access to a psychiatric ward in the hospital or one that is located near. That hospital would be able to direct you to the correct facility in which to obtain help.

I do wish the best for you in the future.

hospitals are for emergencies. if not an emergency, make an appt with a psychiatrist. i actually recommend a therapist instead, because a psychiatrist only hands out pills, and the pills do not work anywhere near as well as ads would lead you to believe and side effects are OFTEN worse than the psych problem.

i have bipolar

BI-POLAR IS NOT EASY TO DIAGNOSE BECAUSE OF THE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS THAT GO WITH IT THE SAFEST WAY TO ARRIVE AT A DECISION AS TO THE SEVERATY OF YOUR DISORDER IS FOR A PSYCHIATRIST TO INVOLVE YOUR DOCTOR AND A SOCIAL WORKER IF THEY AGREE THAT A NEED FOR A MORE HANDS ON TYPE TREATMENT THEN YOU WILL BE HOSPITALIZED FOR INVESTIGATION REGARDING YOUR ILLNESS

go see a GP the criteria for a diagnosis is based on a table of symptoms you
you would have to meet the bi polar criteria and then be reffered to a consultant

Get out your yellow pages and look up a psychiatrist, then call and make an appointment. There is usually a long wait though.. like 3 or 4 months.
