Does religion have an effect on my mental health?!

Question: Does religion have an effect on my mental health?
Okay I want to say that I got baptized in 2009, before that I was reading the bible a lot and having anxiety and mild depression and I worry lott, but when I got baptized I all of the sudden started hearing voices and experiencing hallucinations and then I started throwing my clothes away for no reason and some of them were red and then I started spacing out and I had a lot tension building up from my upper back to my neck. I don't smoke, don't do drugs, nor do I drink. but I had made some very stupid mistakes in the past. after a month of my baptism I was going to stores and start taking stuff for no absolute reason and when I got to this one store I end up getting arrested and I didn't have any emotion once so ever. once I got to jail I just came out of no where and hit the cop on the left side of his face and I feel bad for it and still do for all the other things I've done too. well my question it do you all think that religion may has something to do with my unusual behavior? Because today when I pick up the bible to read it...my mom said to put it back, that's why you are so messed up in the head so I put it back.
