Question: I need a recovery buddy from an eating disorder, not pro-ana/mia..?
I was wondering if anyone could be a recovery buddy (not pro-ana/mia buddy) with me regarding eating disorders? Been suffering from an eating disorder (anorexia and bulimia) for 17-years and wanting to recover, but was wondering if someone can help keep me accountable in recovery, etc. I can't do this alone and having a hard time stopping this. Maybe we can get a group going for recovery? Can you leave your email address below if you're interested so I can email you? Thanks!

They are called anorexia and bulimia. People who want to try and develop these illnesses give them these silly pet names when in fact they are horrendous, life-threatening psychiatric disorders.

I have never suffered from anorexia or bulimia, but I sympathize with your search for a recovery buddy. I don't believe I am the best person to be your "sponsor" per say, but I would be happy to be someone to help you keep accountable and be a sympathetic ear until you find someone else who has more experience with this and is able to commit to helping you long term.
