stress is getting to me .. Help?!


Question: Stress is getting to me .. Help?
I'm 15 and I have a massive test tomorrow!
I thought I had everything already revised!
But now I'm panicking and feeling the need for more revision!!
I'm pretty Stressed..
What can I do to relax?

Close your eyes. Envision this all going well and breath deeply while doing so.

Remember, this is NOT life or death---you sound very focused, so you probably did better than you think.

Also, most of the time your first impulses are the right ones, sometimes you must simply trust and let go.

Do your breathing......go for a walk, have a cup of tea, hold on to your vision.

At this point, the best thing to do would be to just put your books/notes away and do whatever you can to take your mind off it. Chances are, with the way you are now, you won't be able to cram anything into your head anyway. Go read a book, or play a video game, or call a friend, or take a walk, or exercise... or whatever it is you do as a hobby/interest. You'll probably be distracted for a while, but the longer you go at it the more immersed you'll become, until hopefully all thoughts of tomorrow's test dissipate.

Right when you're about to go to bed quickly review your notes and then just go to bed. Fretting will not accomplish anything. Get a good night's sleep (8 hrs, if you can!), and maybe do a bit of light review in the morning, if only to make you feel confident.

But seriously, you have to just tell yourself that at this point you've learned what you could and it's going to be enough. Say it again and again until you start to believe it. Think of the test as any other test and don't let it overwhelm you.
