Is Adderall causing my depression?!

Question: Is Adderall causing my depression?
My psychiatrist has put me on 200mg of Seroquel, an antidepressant (among other things) a few weeks ago. This was intended to treat my depression and OCD. It is a fairly small dose but my mood was stable for a number of weeks. He also added 20mg of Adderall for my ADD. I have been on it for only 4 days now. The first 2 days I felt fine. Suddenly, yesterday my mood hit rock bottom again. The depression, anxiety, and hopelessness came back.
Obviously I have been trying to get a hold of my doctor to explain things. So far I haven't been able to reach him. In the mean time, I want to know if it is even possible for 20mg of adderall, after two days, to cause this mood change. Has this happened to anyone? Is it the adderall or something else? should I stop taking it?

The easiest way to tell is to stop taking you Adderall for a couple of days and see what effect it has on you. I'd rather put up with ADD than depression and with depression it's hard to concentrate or be motivated anyway.

Adderall works in much the same way as concerta, and that states that it can cause depression on the information that comes with it.

I suffer from bipolar and AD/HD and as soon as they increased my dose of concerta I became depressed, and even lost my energy though it's a stimulant, because of my depressionand anxiety at the time. In actual fact it seems to counteract the effects of a mood stabilizer, as ALL my emotions increase, while I'm on it.

I've had the same experience!
