Why am I afraid of Lady Bugs?!

Question: Why am I afraid of Lady Bugs?

I dont understand how I can be afraid of something so little and harmless.... But when I see one, I just freak out. Not to the point where im out of the room and crying but to the point where I want it dead. It can just be minding its own business in the corner and ill want it dead.

Yet at the same time, I can watch a spider crawl across my room and be fine with it.....
what is wrong with me?

Afraid of clowns

lady bugs are brightly colored (red or orange) and in the animal kingdom this is a simple way for an animal or insect to display how poisonous it is. Though some animals and insects use this to their advantage it doesn't always mean they are poisonous but rather they use it as protection. Some are only poisonous when eaten.
It is usually an involuntary response to stay away from a bright red and orange creature.

Phobia of bugs?
